Main Library
- 126,000 square feet
- Library Program and Master Plan was developed for the existing two-story Main Library
- Program redirected library services by expanding the local history department, reorienting services in the audio/visual area of the facility, and expanding the children's area while segregating public and staff areas
- The patron drive-up window was maintained, but the main entrance was moved to make the Circulation department more efficient, which eliminated the two public entrances to the Library
- DesignGroup also acted as the library design architect and FF&E consultant for this project, which was executed by local architect/engineer Woolpert
- 21,750 square feet
- Faced with the need to double the size of this Branch, the Library leased a former J.C. Penney store located in a strip shopping center
- A cost-effective remodeling was designed to create a dramatic, functionally efficient library
- With only minor modifications, 90% of the existing furniture was re-used
- A color scheme was created that blended the existing furniture finishes with the new, updated colors
